Today, I found myself in an interesting place...I questioned a friend with some real personal questions, ones which could bring harm to me...I know this young man; young enough to be my son, and I know his character for we share a horoscope....I see a lot of that person I was in the past, in today's light.....I told him that an honest friend can look me in the face and stone cold lie, but it will be the truth....That's an epiphany like the first one on the 1st of January: Yesterday is the past, the trails we followed to make it to today....Being the past the tracks we left will be followed by the younger ones....Today is the best day everyday, LIVE IT THAT WAY!!! Everyday I search the online news and sites for reading that is interesting, full of texas bull crap, or just plain intriguing and eclectic....Today my reading took me to the coming sovereign nation and the legalization of marijuana...There should be a decriminalization of all other drugs with the same restrictions to their use, as are in place in Amsterdam, Netherlands....You are only allowed to stay in their hotels for no more than 29 days; then your stay is over, board your plane now.....The 10th amendment will come into play....nullification is riding a gulf wind to a city called Austin...My choice for governor of this great state is Debra Medina...I have read all those against her and all those for her and stand proud....She also stands for the legalization of marijuana and to bring state level decisions back to the decision of the voting public....I like her stand on border control from all sides..Build port of entries and treat everyone from Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and other visiting countries.....I like the fact she knows with legalization and honoring the Texas Constitution do away with property taxes and establish a broader sales tax....Rick Perry issued the first secession speech in early 2009, now early 2010 he is back pedaling saying it's still a possibility...Kay Bailey doesn't impress me at all...Rick Perry has served his term: He lives in a glass house that the State of Texas pays for - $10,000 a month, Texas has to step up and take a stand, we need a change.....This is an open letter to the establishment that may soon have to follow the leader and bring police action against the good people of our home country...The movement is unstoppable if the right person is elected and she does what she says she will do....Anyone that says that Texas is like every other state being broke, haven't been paying attention to the amount of capital for investments that have been accrued by the oilmen of the Austin Chalk...Normally I would vote Democrat, but not this time...Republican is for the lady from down in the belly of our state....Conservative is an abomination to the FREE - THINKER with in my brain....Their are those friends that I have that tell me I should stop, well to them I say I will quit thanks to my psychiatrist is honoring the problem I have...She prescribed me 80mg. The Drug Enforcement Administration [DEA] is charged with stopping supply.

Nobel Prize winning economist Milton Friedman and a host of other economic gurus have been trying for 30 years to explain that it's as simple as understanding that you can't pass laws that overturn the law of supply and demand.

Surplus supply is the natural economic response to drug seizures. To double or triple production of something that costs a penny but sells for a dollar is easy.
The drug lord's story: a broad analogy
A drug lord needed to supply his customers' demand for 100 boxes. Years ago, he shipped 120 boxes. The authorities would seize about 4 boxes and 16 boxes would be left for surplus.
As citizens called for more seizures, the money and men allotted to seize those drugs multiplied, The drug lord knew all this, anticipated losses and produced surplus drugs in advance.
The drug lord now ships 200 boxes. The authorities seize about 20 boxes and 80 boxes are left for surplus.
Results:
The drug lord has produced a huge surplus of a product at little cost, increasing his evil influence and ecological damage in the producing country.
The amount of drugs seized, the tax dollars wasted and the amount of surplus drugs that can leak out to children have all been increased by 500%.
The public celebrates the media's news reports and officials crow. No one seems to relalize that Catch 22 is alive and well and that they have just made the supply problem considerably worse.
The drug users get 100% of the desired drug as usual.
